Germany is one of only three countries in women’s action (Brazil and the Netherlands are the others) with four teams in the 48-team field. Germany’s Borger/Buthe will be seeded 10th in the FIVB World Championships. Borger, 26, 5-11 resides in Stuttgart and Buthe, 27, 6-1, who lives in Boui-laggelheim, have been a team on the FIVB World Tour for 43 events entering 2015 and have earned two silver medials, one bronze, one fourth and six fifth-place finishes. Overall, Borger has played in 55 events and Buthe 47 and together they earned the silver medal in the 2013 FIVB World Championships (Stare Jablonki, Poland). They have also played each of the past two years on world tour stops in The Hague, finishing 17th both years.
