During the World Championships, the people of the Netherlands will be encouraged to get involved in beach volleyball with a world record attempt featuring on the official programme.
The setting for the event will be the sandy beaches of Scheveningen, close to the competition venue in the city centre of The Hague. Three hundred beach volleyball courts will be set up. The world record attempt will take place on Saturday, June 27.
The current Guinness World Record was set in 2014 in Canada, where 1,610 players took part in a tournament. On the first Saturday of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships the record will be broken with 300 courts enabling over 3,000 players take part.
The unique event is open to players of all ages and experience. You can take part in one of many tournaments or start your own competition.

All participants of the world record attempt will get the chance to watch the evening session on Saturday June 27 in The Hague for 2,50 Euros.
