Varenhorst: “The crowd was amazing, especially after we lost the second set. With the home crowd behind us, we were able to win the third set.”
Nummerdor: “This feels amazing. We played like in a blur, but we focussed on the game. The circumstances were difficult today, so different from the rest of the week, with this wind. But we handled it pretty good from the start, we did not make many mistakes.”
Nummerdor: “We had two block-players on the court, not the best defence players. We took advantage of that, at least I did with my attacks. And they made more errors, especially in the beginning. That made the difference I think.”
