Pedro Solberg & Evandro Goncalves defeated Cuba's Diaz Nivaldo & Sergio Gonzalez 2-1 (21-19, 19-21, 15-11) on Thursday to move into the quarterfinals. The Brazilians had a tough match against the debutants, but are slowly hitting form after they barely made it out of the pool with third place.
In the quarterfinal in Rotterdam they will face fellow countrymen Alvaro Filho & Vitor Felipe. The teams met before on the national tour in Brazil, and they know each other well, since Evandro and Vitor Felipe were partners on the World Tour last year, as were Pedro and Alvaro.
