Lausanne, Switzerland, February 20, 2015 - Just 125 days before the start of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships The Netherlands 2015, Brazil and Germany feature four times each in the provisional FIVB National Federation Entry Ranking list for women, while Brazil and USA have four berths each in the men’s list.
The National Federation Entry Ranking list for the women’s competition in the Netherlands sees Brazil and Germany claim four spots. USA have three berths, while the Dutch, Canada, Switzerland and the Czech Republic each have two.
In the men’s Entry Ranking list, Brazil and USA each have four berths. Germany, hosts the Netherlands and Canada follow with two each.
The qualification process for the World Championships will be completed one hundred days before the start of the event, with a draw taking place for the pool phase at that point.
A total of 96 teams will qualify for the World Championships - 48 per gender. The 23 teams per gender qualifying for the World Championships via the FIVB National Federation Entry Ranking lists will be joined by three Wild Card teams. Hosts the Netherlands are guaranteed a minimum of two teams per gender and a further twenty teams (four per confederation) will qualify via Continental Tours.
