Both 22 years old, Canada’s youthful Humana-Paredes/Pischke will be seeded 24th at the FIVB World Championships. Through 2014, the Canadian duo had played six FIVB World Tour events as a team with two fifth-place finishes. They also have played together in three FIVB Age-Group World Championships, winning bronze medals in two of them with both being in the U-23 championships in 2013 and 2014 in Myslowice, Poland. Over the last season-plus they have won three gold medals in the NORCECA confederation tour. Humana-Parades, 5-9, lives in Toronto while Pischke, 6-0, resides in Winnipeg. For both players, this will be their first FIVB World Championships as well as their first time playing in The Hague.
