On Wednesday, Spike flew out for the very first time, visiting Amsterdam and The Hague, two of the four host cities of the World Championships. Spike will now be on tour to let people know that the World Championships are coming to the Netherlands.

Spike is a typical seagull. He is bold in character and always looking out for a chance to make a joke. He also loves to entertain large crowds and is fond of being in the spotlight.

Wednesday - a beautiful summery day in the Netherlands - was the perfect occasion for Spike to spread his wings and visit Amsterdam and The Hague. In busy places like Dam Square, the Museum Square, the Binnenhof and the Hofvijver pond, his striking appearance and cheeky demeanor attracted attention from all bystanders - that’s just how Spike is!
