Be one in a million for #VolleyballYourWay

Lausanne, Switzerland, June 24, 2015 – The world record attempt at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships The Netherlands 2015 is just a few days away, but for fans not lucky enough to be on the sandy beaches of Scheveningen there is another way you can get involved.

On June 27 we want volleyball fans all over the world to share videos and photos playing volleyball with the hashtag #VolleyballYourWay. This could be playing with a balloon, a ball or anything that takes your imagination. Play over nets, over benches, over tables or with no boundaries at all!

All the posts will be monitored, with many shared via the FIVB’s social media platforms as well as appearing on the giant screens at the Beach Volleyball World Championships venue in The Hague.

Additionally, the top five posts as picked by one of the stars at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championship 2015 and the FIVB will win a Mikasa beach volleyball signed by the player. There will also be a fan vote for the very best post with the winner receiving a signed jersey from the World Championships.

You can start taking photos and videos already, but if you want it to count towards the total number of posts and the contest it must be uploaded on June 27.

We want to celebrate the sport of volleyball, and its wonderful fans, and show the world that the game can be played by anyone at any place in any way, shape of form.
