Nivaldo Diaz & Sergio Gonzalez eliminated Moscow GS champions Pablo Herrera & Adrian Gavira Wednesday evening in Rotterdam. The Cubans, participating in their first World Championships won 2-0 (21-19, 22-20).
The match was dominated by power, with both teams hitting high and hard. It was also a tight match, both teams hardly missed any side-out. But in the end the Cubans prevailed on their second match point.
