Salinas and Tobar entered the 2015 season with no FIVB World Tour experience together as both players will be competing in the World Championships for the first time.  Both Chileans have been regulars the past three seasons on the South American continental tour and posted a fourth and four fifths this season together.  While Tobar enters this season without no appearances on the FIVB World Tour, Salinas played in two international events in 2013 with Cristobal Bussens.  Salinas and Bussens competed in the FIVB World Cup qualifier for the London 2012 Olympic Games as the part Chilean team with the Grimalts and won only one of five matches in Moscow.  Salinas and Tobar teamed with the Grimalt cousins to win post a combined 8-0 match mark in December’s Continental Cup action against Bolivia and Peru.
