Eltranisy and Shoukry will be the first-ever men’s or women’s team from Egypt to compete in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships. Entering the 2015 season, Eltranisy and Shoukry have never competed on the FIVB World Tour. Egypt qualified for the 2015 World Championships after placing fourth at the CAVB African Nations Beach Volleyball Championships held in Tunis, Tunisia. The Egyptian team advanced to the last day of the African event with a 3-1 pool mark and then dropped matches to South Africa and Ghana in the final rounds.
