Seeded 33rd in the 2015 World Championships, Haddock and Rodríguez-Bertrán will be the first Puerto Rican team to play in the event since 2005 when Olympians Ramon Hernandez and Raul Papaleo competed in the Berlin worlds. A new team on the FIVB World Tour, Haddock and Rodríguez-Bertrán have been regular performers the past three seasons on the NORCECA tour as the pair collected gold medals twice in the Cayman Islands (2012 and 2013) and Mexico (2014).  The Puerto Ricans also competed in the Continental Cup competition for the London 2012 Olympics by advancing to the quarter-finals for the NORCECA finals before being eliminated by Mexico.  In the 2015 NORCECA season opener, Haddock and Rodríguez-Bertrán placed second to Cubans Nivaldo Diaz and Sergio Gonzalez in the Cayman Islands.
