Gibb and Patterson will be seeded 14th in the FIVB World Championships as the Americans will be seeking to better their 17th-place finish at the 2013 event in Stare Jablonki, Poland. While Patterson has made only one appearance in the World Championships, Gibb will be competing for the sixth time with a fifth as his best placement in 2007 with Sean Rosenthal at the Gstaad event. Entering the 2015 international season, Gibb and Patterson played in 21 FIVB World tour events together with four podium placements and five “final four” finishes to their credit. The Americans won a 2013 gold medal in Shanghai with their best 2014 placement being a third in Stare Jablonki. A two-time Olympian, Gibb and Rosenthal placed fifth at both the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Summer Games. Gibb was the FIVB’s top rookie in 2005 and most inspirational in both 2013 and 2014.
