The top team from the United States, USA’s Ross/Walsh Jennings will be seeded third at the FIVB World Championships, Ross, 32 and 6-1, lives in Costa Mesa, Calif.; Walsh Jennings, 36, 6-3, resides in Manhattan Beach, Calif. and together they have played 13 FIVB World Tour events through 2014 with six gold medals and three fifth-place finishes. In her career, Ross has played 96 total FIVB events including 78 with Jennifer Kessy with whom she won another 10 FIVB gold medals, the 2012 Olympic silver medal and the 2009 FIVB World Championship. Walsh Jennings has 99 career FIVB events including 77 with Misty May-Treanor and 44 additional gold medals which includes three Olympic gold medals (2004, 2008, 2012) and three FIVB World Championships (2003, 2005, 2007).

Both were college volleyball stars, Ross at the University of Southern California and Walsh Jennings at Stanford. Ross/Walsh Jennings also won all seven AVP events in 2014.
