Lausanne, Switzerland, January 25, 2015 – Pedro Salgado Solberg comes from one of Brazil’s most well-known beach volleyball families, and his performances at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championship The Netherlands 2015 added another chapter to the Salgado dynasty.
With the international season now at an end, the FIVB is looking back at the best players from all of the major tournaments from 2015.
The 29-year-old Rio de Janeiro native, whose mother Isabel and sisters Maria Clara and Carolina also played on the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour, claimed bronze alongside big hitter Evandro Gonclaves. His efforts on the court saw him claim the best scorer prize. No doubt he will be looking to climb a few more steps up the podium come Autumn and the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
