The Chilean cousins ended the 2014 FIVB World Tour campaign with a pair of silver medal finishes in Argentina (Paraná) and South Africa (Mangaung) by winning 12 of their last 14 international matches.  The Grimalts will be the 19th-seeded pair in the 2015 World Championships as the Chileans seek to better their 33rd-place finish in the 2013 event in Stare Jablonki.  The most successful team from Chile in FIVB World Tour history, the Grimalts have also proved to be successful the past three seasons on the South American continental circuit by playing in 13 finals in 18 appearances with seven gold medal finishes.  After Chile finished second to Venezuela in the South American continental cup qualifying for the London 2012 Olympic, the Grimalts competed in the World Cup finals in Moscow where the cousins won five of eight matches highlighted by a win over Alexander Brouwer and Robert Meeuwsen of The Netherlands in three sets.
